Pregnancy Support with Homeopathy & Reflexology

'I had reflexology with Rebecca whilst in my third trimester of pregnancy and after having my baby-I found the treatments so lovely and relaxing. It helped improve mild SPD that I was suffering towards the end of pregnancy too so I would highly recommend!' JT, Jan 2019

Over the last 15 years, I have worked with many women to make their pregnancies as healthy and relaxing as possible ensuring they give birth in the best place emotionally and physically...

I have personal experience of the benefits of reflexology and homeopathy during and after pregnancy as well as during labour as I had both during my pregnancies.

My clients and I have found that reflexology and homeopathy can ease some of the discomfort of pregnancy, such as morning sickness and back ache, improving sleep and reducing oedema and stress. I also believe that reflexology and homeopathy helped me to be in the best place emotionally and physically enabling me to have relaxed, natural and fast labours near my due date, and then be a (fairly) relaxed new mum!

I offer these complementary therapies in my treatment room in Caversham, Reading and mobile at an additional charge.

A study found that first time pregnant mums who received at least nine maternity reflexology treatments during their pregnancy, had far shorter birthing times than those who did not have reflexology.

On average, their labours lasted 5-6 hours and they required significantly less pain relief too.

Many women come throughout their pregnancy on a monthly basis and then weekly for the last few weeks. However, I can tailor a treatment plan to suit your needs, diary etc.

Pregnancy Homeopathy

I find it a joy supporting women through this part of their lives. I personally discovered how wonderful homeopathy is during my second pregnancy to help with morning sickness, aches and pains.

I can offer a pregnancy tissue salts programme during pregnancy to nourish your changing body or homeopathic remedies unique and tailored to your ailments.

I also used homeopathy during my labour. The midwife (who was pregnant herself) called a few weeks afterwards to ask what I used as she was impressed with how well I coped with my drug free labour. Despite birthing a large baby in a short space of time, I recovered quickly post partum with the use of homeopathic remedies.

I can discuss with you and provide suitable remedies for use during and post labour either in a 1-1 session or group setting.

Post Natal

Reflexology is wonderful postnatally to de-stress and rebalance your body.

Non mobile babies can come too and will generally feed and sleep as you relax.

I can also show you some simple moves to use on the baby.

Homeopathy can be used Post-natally to help you heal and for newborn and infant problems.

Over the years homeopathy has been my first port of call for all manor of issues from colic, ear infections, coughs, colds, bumps, breastfeeding issues etc.

As well as personalised consultations, I run ‘homeopathy at home’ workshops where I can teach you to use homeopathy yourself for your own family.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have reflexology in the first trimester (before 12 weeks?

Yes, as I am specifically maternity trained. Reflexology can be brilliant to help with the symptoms of morning sickness or fatigue.

What are your fees?

Reflexology sessions for individuals last 60 minutes and cost £50 per session. I also provide a limited number of appointments for those on low-income; contact me to enquire about availability.

You can book appointments at: or via this link

Note that if you want to cancel an appointment I require 24 hours’ notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment in cash, or by card.

Can you diagnose my health problems?

Reflexologists cannot claim to diagnose or cure, but during a treatment we get 'feedback' as to which parts of the body are working well and which are not. Sometimes Reflexology will highlight a specific area which is struggling or working hard to maintain your wellbeing; if a particular reflex point shows this kind of reaction I'll discuss it with you at the end of the session.

What happens in a treatment? Do I need to undress?

Reflexology is performed entirely on the feet, ankles or hands, so the most you’ll have to do is take off your socks and roll up your trousers! During the treatment the client lies on their back on a reclining chair, supported by pillows and covered with a soft blanket to keep them warm.

And don’t worry - reflexology doesn't tickle! Many clients come to me with ticklish feet or worried about their feet being touched, but find they can relax and enjoy the benefits of Reflexology.

Does reflexology hurt?

You might find some areas feel sensitive to the touch, but Reflexology does not involve hard pressing in the way something like a sports massage might. As a therapist I will be aware of the status of your feet, noticing how they feel, the temperature and colour. All these things play a part in understanding which areas of your body - as reflected through your feet - require a bit more care and attention.

Should I keep on having Reflexology?

Not necessarily, but after an initial course of treatment many people choose to check in monthly for a top-up, to help maintain their general wellbeing, or as a scheduled 'de-stress'. Other clients will get back in touch if they start feeling aches and pains, arranging treatments as and when they need them.
